Located within walking distance to historical Plymouth Rock, Nathaniel Morton School has served the population of the coastal town of Plymouth, MA in the United States, for nearly 87 years. It is no wonder that out School motto is “Where Generations Have Learned.”
Nathaniel Morton School has 614 students from kindergarten to grade five who receive instruction in all the major academic areas and in art, critical thinking, health, music, physical education, and band for grades four and five. Class sizes average in the low to mid twenties for grades K through five. We have an active PTO and School Council.
Nathaniel Morton School has a 41 classroom building extending to three stories and is well maintained by a staff of four custodians. We have an up-to-date School library which includes a new computer lab with state-of-the-art PC hardware. The entire building has been recently painted, inside and out, and all classrooms are wired for the Internet and equipped with computer stations.
Our educational program is well correlated to the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks and features the new Houghton Mifflin Invitations To Literacy English/Language Arts Program and the most recent Addison-Wesley Math Series (2002).
The teaching staff at Nathaniel Morton School comes from diverse backgrounds and experiences, thereby lending great support to a highly heterogeneous student population.
