The Ignitor Electronic Ignition is also made for the Nissan 1400 bakkie, and comprises a set of electronic points which replace the points and condenser inside the distributor. It is designed to function with a points type coil and does not use or need an electronic coil. The Igniter is waterproof and does not need adjustment after correctly installed, and fit on same point?s screw hole?s and hardware, so no machining or modifications are needed. In the event of any electrical problems, the points can be re- fitted . The Ignitor is available for most Nissan 1400 bakkie?s fitted with Mitsubishi or Hitachi distributors. The Ignitor provides stronger spark , with better starting in cold weather, smoother acceleration and better fuel consumption. The 30 month warrantee covers factory defects, but the kit is so reliable on the Nissan 1400 that is very unlikely will ever need it.
