While we carry most of the usual stuff you would find at other nurseries, our aim is to stock an ever increasing variety of indigenous and waterwise plants as well as herbs and vegetables. We also try our utmost to conduct our business as organically as possible, so our plants may have a chewed leaf or two but we also have a lot of butterflies and ladybirds visiting us. Sunbirds and butcher birds are also regular visitors and we often see skinks and frogs in the Noordhoek Nursery, Noordhoek Farm Village, Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa.
We are hoping to expand our range of pots, gifts and garden accessories over the next few months. We carry a small selection of annuals to brighten up small pockets in your garden. With water being such a precious commodity nowadays we encourage gardeners to compost as much as possible when planting and to mulch beds to reduce weeds, soil temperature and loss of moisture. We stock organic fertilisers and sprays.
Whilst all our staff are not qualified horticulturists, they are passionate about plants and will do their best to find answers to any questions you have. Most of our plants have information labels to help you select the correct plants for your garden. The Nursery is co-owned by Beverley and Vanessa (qualified horticulturist for 25 years), supported by Ken, Sacha and Karin on sales with Charles and Samuel assisting.
We also have a contracting company that undertakes landscaping and irrigation design and installation. This company has been in operation for 12 years.
