It is in a peaceful position some 500 feet above sea level on the well known marine North Walk overlooking Lynmouth Bay and the beautiful Watersmeet Valley, and a 200 metre walk to Lynton. With car parking facilities on the forecourt, the Hotel is an ideal base for exploring Exmoor National Park whether it is your annual holiday or off season break.
Local activities include walking, riding, tennis, and putting, and the North Cliff is ideally situated for exploring the coastline and Exmoor National Park. The road in front of the Hotel forms part of The South West Coastal Path and the remarkable Valley of the Rocks is a 2-mile walk. The famous water powered Cliff Railway linking Lynton and Lynmouth passes within a few feet of the North Cliff Hotel and is accessed via the stepped garden.
Children of all ages are very welcome and if you like walking with your dog they are made welcome as well.

We have a licensed bar available for a drink after a hard day of walking or an aperitif before dinner.
Our menu is extensive and we offer a wide range of meat, fish and vegetarian dishes. All our dishes are home cooked and, where possible, we source our ingredients locally. We are able to cater for special diets upon request. Why not end a perfect meal with a night cap on our terrace overlooking Lynmouth Bay and Countisbury Hill.
