The Old Dairy - nestled in the rolling hills of a working Farm in Maleny, Australia, this converted dairy offers a taste of country life in the heart of the Sunshine Coast Hinterland.
The Old Dairy or Arley Farm is 160 acre cattle breeding property located just 4 km west of Maleny in the rolling hills of the Blackall Range. The property is a former dairy which spans a wide valley with three dams and is bordered by 1.5 km frontage to the Obi Obi Creek. The owners have undertaken extensive revegetation of the creek frontage which includes a delightful shady swimming hole with a shelter, picnic table and BBQ. This area is in an important riparian rainforest remnant with over 200 species of plants including strangler figs, palms and ferns which are host to abundant bird and wildlife and our resident platypus. The perfect base to explore the wonders of the Blackall Range.
This recently renovated dairy is now a delightful, spacious self contained dwelling with one or two bedrooms for couples or families. There is an excellent outdoor area to enjoy the stunning views over the surrounding Farmlands and valleys and at dusk to admire the sunsets over the hills beyond. There is also the availability of a light and airy studio ideal for artist retreats. The creek is just a short walk away to relax and unwind in the peace and tranquility of this natural environment.
