The Old School House, Craobh Haven, Argyll and Bute, Scotland, United Kingdom

The Old School House, located on the Lunga Estate, on the outskirts of Craobh Haven, Scotland, is a double storey House with the master bedroom, with en-suite bathroom, three other twin or double bedrooms and a family bathroom with large bath and shower on the upper level. There is also a separate toilet and a laundry area with washing machine and tumble dryer.

Downstairs, the front hall leads to both the kitchen and a large living room. It also leads to a downstairs toilet and shower room and through to further room which can be either a fifth twin/double bedroom or sitting room.

This room and the master bedroom are good size rooms with the ability to take an extra bed or cot. The other three bedrooms do just have room for beds convertible as twin or double, with bedside tables, small wardrobes and a dressing table but not for much else. Each room can have a TV and a telephone. The downstairs bedroom has a French door to outside.

The Living room leads to a conservatory, double glazed, with heated marb le floor, which has an array of Lloyd loom chairs, plants, coffee tables and a bookcase which goes most of the way round the room and contains an eclectic collection of paperbacks.

Connected to the House is an old stone barn, now converted to a garage or play room. It contains a small pool table, ping-pong table and dart board.

The House faces south, across the Ardfern road, to the sea, with a small garden in front, the big garden is at the back, notable for its palm tree and large climbing roses. From the front of the House, across the road is a narrow extension of the garden which leads to the seashore.

It would be ideal for a small country wedding, especially as it is only a couple of hundred yards to the lovely 18th Century Kirk on the waterfront. For those who do not wish to cook all the time, it is only a hundred yards to the Galley of Lorne Inn and the Crafty Kitchen, both renowned eating places. It is the same distance to Ardfern Yacht Centre and the start of boating adventures among the many enchanted island in Loch Craignish.

We have six hill lochs available for trout fishing. A 14ft clinker rowing dinghy with a 4hp outboard engine. A heron sailing dinghy, are available for hire, but should be booked in advance. We have a 27ft motor cruiser available for fishing, diving expeditions and exploring the surrounding islands.
