Welcome to Pacific Northwest Raptors, Duncan, Canada. At Pacific Northwest Raptors, Duncan we specializes in: training and working with captive-bred birds of prey, training their handlers, educating the public about Raptors
We opened the first bird of prey and falconry Visitor Center in British Columbia in 2003, where we care for and train many species of raptor, and also house a small number of non-releasable injured wild birds that need a permanent home. Most of the birds however are trained, captive-bred birds that do what they do best – flying free – for a living. They fly regularly for educational demonstrations at the center, and at other locations throughout British Columbia . They also fly for media work, and for bird control, an environmentally sound approach to pest bird management.
Educational flying demonstrations showcase the incredible flight skills of the Raptors that live at Pacific Northwest Raptors. Watch an eagle as he soars overhead, only to descend to a perch beside the audience. Witness a red-tailed hawk make the catch as he shows off his hunting skills. Feel the breeze as an owl silently glides over your heads and be thrilled as a falcon buzzes past you, demonstrating his amazing aerial agility.
