The Restaurant takes its name from Sir Thomas Paisley, who was the original owner of the house in Bowness on Windermere. He was an Admiral in the Royal Navy, and chose this beautiful Lake District site in Bowness on Windermere to build his retirement home in 1848.
The views from the restaurant are spectacular, overlooking Lake Windermere, the Langdale Pikes, Claife Heights and surrounding mountains. Our chef prides himself on his interesting and imaginative cuisine, mixing the best of English and continental fayre, using where possible local produce.
