The mission of the Pardee Home, Oakland, United States is to preserve and interpret the historic Pardee family residence, including its gardens and collections, for the education and enjoyment of the citizens of Oakland and the greater Bay Area, and for visitors from throughout the nation and world.
The Pardee Home Museum encourages tours by local school groups. Third-grade students of local history, fourth-grade students of California history, and fifth-grade students of moduled States history will particularly benefit from guided tours of the house. The Pardee Home Museum offers lawn space for upwards of 150 guests. The rear gardens are typically quiet during the evening and on weekends, and your guests can really believe they have been transported back to a more gracious era! flower garden area. A modern kitchen is conveniently located off the back porch and will be available for food storage and preparation during the day of the event. The renovated rear gardens, facing the charming 1868 coach house, offer a secluded and charming environment perfect for most private events. The intact coach house interior can be used for dancing, buffet-style food service, or other special activities you wish for your event.
