Built in 1800 and home to the poet Shelley (1812-13) Plas Tan-Yr-Allt looks out over the Glaslyn Estuary within easy reach of Porthmadog and on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park. Set in 47 acres of wooded Cliffside, Plas Tan-Yr-Allt is a stylish base from which to explore this most spectacular part of Gwynedd, Wales, before returning to country house comfort.
Each room at Plas Tan-Yr-Allt has been individually designed to reflect its character so browse the following list and see which suits your mood. All rooms have a television with DVD player which also plays music, so please feel free to borrow music CDs or DVDs from our collection in the library, and tea and coffee making facilities are provided. All of the bathrooms have been newly fitted and have slate floors with underfloor heating except for the Billington room which is carpeted. Even more importantly the water comes from our own Spring in the mountains behind so is wonderfully soft and pure.
