Platty Plus is a small family run water sports business on the shores of Derwentwater , nr Keswick in the heart of the English Lake District in the United Kingdom.

Platty Plus offers a high standard of both hire and tuition. We are experienced in dealing with individuals and groups, children and adults (including those with special needs), families with young children, corporate groups and school parties.

We are an AALA (Adventure Activities Licensing Aurthority) Licensed provider for canoeing, kayaking, sailing, dragon boating and improvised raft building.  We are also a RYA (Royal Yatching Association) training centre for dinghy sailing and power boating and a BCU (British Canoe Union) approved centre.

Platty Plus offers  kayaking & canoeing for beginners to Level 3 Coach Training and Assessment.   We operate under the supervision of John Platt  who holds B.C.U. Level 4 Coach Open Canoe and Level 3 Inland Kayak qualifications. Lifesaving Examiner. Placid water Teacher.

Patty Plus also offer dinghy sailing Levels 1 & 2 Seamanship Skills, Spinnaker Sailing & Young Sailors Scheme Stages 1 to 3. We operate under the supervision of John Platt who is a R.Y.A. Dinghy Senior Instructor.We offer power boating under the supervision of Sarah Platt who is a R.Y.A. Powerboat Instructor.
