Welcome to Poggiali and Forconi Gallery, Firenze, Italy.
Since its opening in 1984 in its historic premises in Florence the gallery Poggiali and Forconi Gallery has presented artists such as Giovanni Frangi and later Luca Pignatelli. In 2000, in concomitance with a complete renewal of the premises, the gallery radically clarified its programme to offer one man shows by Italian artists of international repute. Since 2000, in fact, as well as exploring the new generations of artists, the gallery has devoted itself to extensive one man shows, all accompanied by ample catalogues, of artists that represent historic figures in the sphere of contemporary art.
The gallery Poggiali and Forconi Gallery, Firenze collaborates with museums and public institutions for the organisation of events, not only in Italy. Apropos this aspect, its most recent initiative at the end of 2007 was the organisation of the one man show for Luca Pignatelli in the Archaeological Museum of Naples, after the museum had hosted the shows of Damien Hirst, Richard Serra and Francesco Clemente.
Since 2006 it has expanded its premises, creating a project room of a post-industrial flavour that retains the atmosphere of a large former workshop, where it hosts site-specific installations by the various artists displaying in the gallery.
