Situated at Garden Point, 1 km north of Port Arthur, it is central to the area's many attractions including the Port Arthur Historic Site, the Coalmines Historic Site, plus the many natural scenic features including the magnificent rock formations at Eaglehawk Neck and the Remarkable Cave near Port Arthur.

The park has 20 fully self-contained cabins, all with water views and some with private balconies. Set apart in natural shelter ranging from small shrubs to towering gums, they offer patrons space and privacy. All cabins have electric heating and are fully insulated so they remain cosy on even the coldest winter nights... and all linen is provided.
There are 44 powered sites including eight with their own private ensuites. Most are drive-through sites and all have level parking areas, fresh water and sullage facilities as well as fireplaces. They are also all separated by rows of trees and shrubs for individual privacy.

Stewarts Bay is on the southern side of the park. This beautiful, sheltered beach is safe for swimming or just enjoying the peaceful surroundings. On the northern side of the park is Long Bay which has a large boat ramp for those wishing to try their luck with the variety of bay fish on offer. Flathead, perch, salmon and cod are all available.
