Welcome to the Port of Bergen, Norway. Ferry crossings are infrequent from the Port of Bergen but are run by a number of reputable ferry companies who all provide an efficient service.
P&O Ferries provides crossings from Bergen to Lerwick in the Shetland Islands. Sailings are once or twice a week with a journey time of 11 hours.
Smyril Line also offers ferry services to Lerwick but these are considerably slower and less frequent. Smyril Line provides services to Torshaven, taking 20 hours and to Seysdisfjordur, which takes two days.
Colorline operates a single route from the Port of Bergen to Hirtshals in Denmark. Services run three times a week and journey time is 23 hours. Frequency of services changes with the seasons.
Fjordline is the final ferry company offering services from the Port of Bergen, operating a route to Newcastle in England. This journey takes approximately 26 hours and is travelled up to three times a week.The Port of Bergen offers a total of five ferry routes which are operated by a variety of companies. Sailings along all of these routes are infrequent, with services running from three times a week to three times a month.
