Fishguard is one of two ports in the Pembrokeshire area that provides ferry services to the Republic of Ireland. The port is situated at Goodwick, just 1.5 km / 1 mile from the town centre of Fishguard.
The port's ferry terminal is operated by Stena Line and offers a number of facilities including a cafeteria that serves hot and cold beverages and snacks, the Cuppacabana bar and a selection of vending machines. The port is located close to Goodwick's shops and facilities, while toilets for disabled passengers are also on hand as well as baby-changing facilities.
Along with the Port of Pembroke, Fishguard offers services to Rosslare in the Republic of Ireland, with a total of eight ferry movements per day (four departures and four arrivals). It is a busy facility around which there is a constant buzz of activity. The town of Fishguard itself is equally busy, since many passengers make overnight stays prior to or following ferry crossings.
Fishguard and the greater Pembrokeshire area are filled with places of great natural beauty and they make ideal destinations for weekend getaways, rambling holidays or seaside summer vacations.
