Designed by brothers Buzz and Nick BeLer to evoke the elegant supper clubs of 1940's Manhattan, The Prime Rib, a Steakhouse restaurant opened in Baltimore, in the United States, in 1965.
The Prime Rib,quickly became a favorite destination in Baltimore. Our menu of prime meats, fresh seafood and thick chops was as appealing to diners in the 1960's as it is today. Everything about The Prime Rib, from our tuxedoed waitstaff, our insistence on a dress code, top quality food, and live piano and bass music nightly was intended to make every occasion feel like a special one.
The Prime Rib is a retro-hip Steakhouse with a swingin' kind of atmosphere that makes you think you might spot Frank Sinatra and the rest of the Rat Pack hanging out at a back table. A recent Baltimore poll named the sophisticated spot the most popular restaurant in the city, and it's easy to see why. Dark woods, animal prints, and dim lighting lend a stylishly romantic vibe, plus, martinis are well-mixed and steaks are superb. Try the filet mignon, melt-in-your-mouth prime rib, and bourbon bread pudding as a grand finale. Enjoy jazzy live music played on the shiny white piano at The Prime Rib.
