What is PromoTrieste Consortium

In 1985 a group of Triestine entrepreneurs gave life to PromoTrieste CONSORTIUM - Convention Bureau, as instrument of management of the Congress Centre, which was already playing a leading role within the local congress activity. Thanks to the following agreement of many public authorities (Chamber of Commerce, Town Council, Ente Fiera, Province Council and AIAT-Agenzia di Informazione e di Accoglienza Turistica) further to the regional set of rules that came into effect in February 2002, PromoTrieste Consortium Convention Bureau has grown into a reality of great significance, whose members (today 45 - 20% of which are public authorities and 80% private bodies) aim at the national and international promotion of Trieste (Italy) as congress city, by combining all year round congressional events with tourist initiatives within the Province chief town and the region.

As point of reference as far as the aggregating events taking place in Trieste are concerned, the Consortium has always offered quality of structures and services, logistic information and any kind of organizational assistance. The Consortium boasts nineteen years of commitment, as well as the organization and housing of more than 2,500 events. 2,500 opportunities for PromoTrieste of proving its professional competence, earning a prominent position in the national and international congress world.

The Stazione Marittima Congress Centre, overlooking the sea as an evocative window onto the past and onto the future, is located a stone's throw from the historic centre of an incomparable cultural city. Thanks to a renewed conception of the available spaces, the exhibition areas are now able to house any kind of event, also a few contemporaneously. So far, we have been chosen from 160 thousand people (including congressists, exhibitors and visitors) for medical conventions, scientific, economic, trade-union, religious or sports congresses, cultural exhibitions, sports events, political summits, seminars, refreshment courses and competitive examinations.
