Executive chefs Frank Tramontano and Mary Spellman, along with restaurateur Sean Kehlenbeck, have recently opened Q Restaurant, a Mediterranean-American grill that has invigorated the Hamptonsâ?? historic Inn at Quogue. As diners approach the Inn, they find a circa-1785 New England farmhouse; inside, however, is a modern, sexy 200-seat dining room with a late-night lounge, a hedge-enclosed outdoor patio, and a room for private events. The Restaurantâ??s diverse menu features both modern Mediterranean-American offerings such as tuna tartare in crisp cheese â??coral reefâ? and traditional grill fare like 16-ounce sirloin steaks dry-aged on the premises. Frank and Mary also run Couture Catering (recently featured on the Food Networkâ??s â??Behind the Bashâ?), and they have years of experience planning special events for the areaâ??s most discerning clients.
