Queensland Theatre Company is the State's leading Theatre company in Brisbane, presenting a diverse season of nine plays each year.  Be entertained by hilarious comedies, classic dramas and extraordinary new Theatre.  The mission of Queensland Theatre Company is to provide excellent artistic experiences, develop Queensland Theatre artists, and so promote and develop Theatre in Queensland and Australia.
Queensland Theatre Company is the state’s flagship professional Theatre company established in 1970 by an Act of Parliament.   It is currently under the artistic direction of multi-award winning playwright and renowned director Michael Gow, who is the Company’s Artistic Director.
Each year Queensland Theatre Company presents an annual main-stage season of nine plays in Brisbane showcasing an array of acclaimed Theatre artists and offering a dynamic mix of plays from exciting new Australian work to outstanding international classics.
Queensland Theatre Company is also dedicated to encouraging artistic development across the state through its emerging artists program, writing program,  which includes the Queensland Premier’s Drama Award and regional partnerships program.
