What happens in a session? The first session begins with an initial consultation and the chance to discuss any questions you may have.  Healing is performed with all your clothes on either seated or lying down and is normally carried out in silence. Energy is channelled through the healer's hands to the client's body and may be directed by hands on touch or near touch, according to the clients' preference. Afterwards there will be time to reflect on the experience and talk about any issues
arising from the session and any other concerns you may have.
Responses to healing vary from individual to individual as will the number of sessions needed for optimum benefit.  However it is hoped that even from just one session you will at least take away something to begin the healing process within your own body.  You don't need a spiritual nature or any faith to feel the benefit of healing. You will hopefully feel more relaxed afterwards, with a general sense of well being and a release of emotion and tension.  The effects of healing may continue to be felt over the next few days.
What conditions can be treated? Healing can help with many conditions and illnesses but may be especially helpful with the following: • Muscular aches and pains • Stress and depression • Maintenance of health and vigour • Mental and emotional relaxation • Alleviating the side effects of chemotherapy and radiotherapy.  Animal Healing: Animals can also benefit from Reiki. When Reiki is drawn in it clears and enhances the existing energy. For animals it is practiced in much the same way as humans.
