In 1968 Donna Maria Albanese Decided to open the Restaurant that she'd tenderly planned with her heart and soul there was no doubt about the name "O PORTICCIULL".
With initiative and old style tenacity she managed and came to grips with concepts that were later discovered by publicity and marketing experts. The "PURTICCIULL" blended essential ingredients - a beautiful picturesque harbour setting, seafood island cuisine at its best and a hospitable warm family atmosphere, for conoisseurs.
Today the Restaurant is run by Donna Maria Albanese's son Pino. Traditions and culture from overseas have become incorporated with local customs to create the vast architectural and gastronomical riches which have been Ischia's fortune.
"O PURTICCIULL" can be found on the right bank of the port just a few steps away from the main shopping area.
Its menu offers a vast selection of the highest quality fresh fish and seafood.
