Ristorante Villa Portofino takes pride in its growing reputation as Avalon's finest dining experience. We welcome our customers to enjoy their favorite cocktail or one of our fine Italian or domestic wines before selecting an entree from our enticing menu. We also recommend saving room for one of our specialty desserts created daily by our in-house pastry chef.
The Ristorante Villa Portofino was acquired in February 2003 by Avalon restaurateurs Russ and Jenny Armstrong (Armstrong's Fishmarket and Seafood Restaurant, Big Olaf's Ice Cream and Casino Dock Café) who then partnered with executive chef and local caterer Greg Wenger (Island Caterers). During the next five months the Restaurant was completely gutted and recreated in the tradition of a warm European bistro. Ristorante Villa Portofino reopened in June 2003 and quickly became a dining favorite of locals and visitors alike who appreciate the beautiful atmosphere, fine food and inviting service. In June 2004 an intimate sidewalk patio was added and is now a favorite Avalon dining destination especially on warm summer evenings.
The staff at Ristorante Villa Portofino is looking forward to serving you on your next visit to Catalina Island.
