Open since July 2002 the Riv provides a high standard of hospitality and entertainment in unique surroundings.
The Riv is unique in that not only does it offer a cosy community pub but also has a modern Restaurant offering a high standard of fresh food cooked to order, but also has a club environment with bands & dj's playing till 2am.
The Riv can be booked as a whole or in part and can cater for any function: we can provide either sit down meals, buffets or BBQ's.
The Riv has 4 has two decking areas overlooking the beach and a grassed children's garden with a slide, swing etc.
THE Restaurant.
The candle-lit Restaurant overlooks the beach and is a contemporary design. Seating up to 40 people, the larger seating up to 10/12 per table Children welcome.
The chef takes pride in selecting only the best local quality produce.
THE FUNCTION ROOM.
The orange bar has large sets of French windows that open out over the decking and garden. This bar is licensed to 2am and doubles as a dance room for functions. It has a capacity of 100 persons and has a professional sound and light system with technics decks.
THE FRONT BAR.
The red bar serves as the entrance to the pub. Built of original Cornish stone it has low beams and a large open fire.
Perfect for a cosy meal on a cold night,
with an extensive range of spirits, cocktails, wines and beers on offer.
THE SNUG.
The snug links the historic part of the building with the newer Restaurant and orange bar. Originally the snug was a pigsty attached to the farmhouse however this now provides a relaxed space with a beach feel.
