The River of History Museum is a non profit organization dedicated to preserving and presenting the history of Sault Ste. Marie, the St. Mary's River System and surrounding area.
The River of History Museum is located in the old post office in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. This grand old Federal Building was constructed in 1909-1910 out of limestone from a quarry in Bedford, Indiana.
Join the St. Mary's River as she uses the SOUNDS of 8,000 YEARS to tell her story of the events she has witnessed, people she has met, and the changes wrought along her shores and water.
