Rochester Guest House received its name from historical visitors from the past and borders on Rochester road and Sandown West in Bloubergrant in the Western Cape. Its patio's face the Historical Blaauwberg Hill, where the Battle of Blaauwberg took place, approximately two hundred years ago. This Historical Hill is now a nature reserve.

The Guest House has its traditional Dutch style design and lends for long stay overs and shorter visits. Many business corporates frequent our establishment due to its excellent service and superb breakfasts served on the patio or in the main dining area. There is an honesty bar in the main dining area where guests can help themselves to beverages and light drinks.

West Beach is a modern new area of Blouberg. Rochester Guest House nestles in the heart of this suburban area. It is near by the heart of all Western Cape seasports, restaurants, golf estates, fishing, seasports, kitesailing, sunsurfing activities and car racing at Killarney.
West Port shopping Mall is a stone throw away from the Guest House. This makes for easy living and guests can have evening meal at the various restaurants in the centre: Chinese, Italian pizzaria, English Pub, Fish Market and take-aways. A chemist, beauty salon and nail bar, and laundry are at our doorstep.
Day Tours and Packages
The Guest House also provides the assistance and planning of day tour packages, such as Safari Lodges Aquilla 2 hours drive away, Stellenbosch Wine Farms, Franschhoek, Robben Island, Rhodes Memorial a host of other exciting venues can be arranged on behalf of the clients, programmed for their individual needs. The tour guide will arrange pick-ups and drop-offs.
