Founded in 1887 Royal Eastbourne Golf Club in Eastbourne UK in the United Kingdom, is a traditional members club situated in the lee of the South Downs. Comprising 27 holes of challenging Golf, Royal Eastbourne Golf Club caters for all levels of handicap. Both the Devonshire & Hartington Courses are maintained to the very highest of standards. Built on chalk we seldom see the courses of Royal Eastbourne Golf Club closed.
In recent years Royal Eastbourne Golf Club's friendly clubhouse has been substantially modernised, for your comfort.
Our PGA Professional, Alan Harrison keeps a wide range of stock at competitive prices, in his Pro Shop, so whether you are after a particular piece of equipment or prizes a visit is highly recommended.
The Royal Eastbourne Golf Club was founded in 1887, the year Queen Victoria celebrated her Gold Jubilee, and following patronage by her grandson, Prince Albert Victor, Duke of Clarence, the title Royal was conferred by the Queen on 27th October 1887. It is believed that our club is the quickest to achieve such honoured status from foundation. Of all the Royal clubs we are the 12th most senior; a number of older clubs having obtained such status after Royal Eastbourne Golf Club and some having since been disbanded.
