The Samson V is an old steam powered paddlewheeler that spent 40 years chugging up and down the Fraser River doing duty as a snag puller. Today the grand old dame is docked permanently at the New Westminster Quay, British Columbia as a floating Museum known as the Samson V Maritime Museum.

Samson V is a wooden, steam-powered, sternwheel snagpuller now open as a Maritime Museum. She is sole survivor of the once numerous Fraser River paddlewheelers.

Onboard the Samson V Maritime Museum you're welcome to tour the galley, mess, cabins and engine area, all restored (or nearly restored) to their original condition. From the Museum's tour guides, the photograph display panels, and the interpretive brochures, you'll get a sense of what life was like on a working riverboat, as well as learn about the Fraser River, early riverboat Captains, and other river trivia.
