There are three primary Divisions within the San Bruno Police Department in San Bruno, California, United States and each is headed by a Police Commander.
Support and Community Services Division
This Division has primary responsibility for Investigations, Community Policing, School Liaison, Training, Recruitment and Background Investigations, Crime Prevention and SWAT and Hostage Negotiation.
Administrative Services Division
This Division is responsible for Communications, including Call Taking and Dispatch, Records, Budget Preparation, Accounts Payable and Receivable, Property and Evidence, Emergency Services, Licensing and Grant Management.
Field Services Division
The Field Services Division is the largest and most visible of the Divisions. The Patrol and Traffic sections respond to over 25,000 calls for service each year. In addition, this division oversees Community Service Officers, Special Events, Regional Task Force participation as well as Traffic Safety and Parking.
