The vast towering black letters installed high above the bustling intersection now proclaim the arrival of the Sandler Center for the Performing Arts. This impressive new addition to the city's "new urban" development was developed by Philip Johnson/Alan Ritchie Architects of New York and CMSS Architects of Virginia Beach with acoustic design and installation by Kirkegaard Associates of Chicago whose works spans the world and includes New York's famed Carnegie Hall.
