For something a bit different why not try our wigwam cabins, a fun alternative and unique holiday experience, camping outdoors with all the comfort of your own heated, wooded wigwam.

Prefer some luxury, then we have five thistle graded holiday caravan homes. All have a spacious living area with attractive soft furnishings where the whole family can relax.
Sands is an ideal base to explore the best of Wester Ross, with the famous Torridon mountains to the south and the world renowned Inverewe Gardens to the north.

For the caravan & camping connoisseurs
The caravan and camping park is run on an informal basis, the site is divided into two main areas one for camping and one for caravan?s. Giving you the freedom to choose your own spot anywhere in the camping or caravan area. Whether you choose a sheltered spot amongst the sand dunes or a spot with a view across the Minch, the choice is yours, on our 55 acre site. Where ever you set up, our award winning beach is a stones throw away. The only restriction we enforce is that you keep a distance of at least 7 metres from your neighbour.

Our five thistle graded Holiday Homes are situated on the park with views over the sea to Skye. All our caravans are attractively decorated with spacious lounge, two or three comfortable bedrooms, a well planned kitchen and a bathroom. All rooms are heated, whilst the kitchen has a modern cooker a fridge and a microwave. The bathroom has a shower and plenty of hot water to come home to after a days exploring.

For those who would like something a wee bit different!
Come and stay in one of our heated wooden wigwams. A fun alternative and a unique holiday experience that gives you that great feeling of being at one with nature, camping outdoors with the comfort of your own heated wigwam. All our wigwams have electric light and a panel heater.
We have 8 wigwams.

Longa and Raasay are smaller wigwams which have a raised platform for sleeping on with a double mattress and a single mattress.
Rona, Skye, Harris, Lewis, Trodday & Scalpay are larger wigwams which have cushioned seating with a table and electric kettle.

Sands Holiday House
A luxurious house situated with in its own croft in the small crofting township of Big Sand 4 miles west of Gairloch. Enjoying a raised site providing outstanding views of the Torridon Mountains, Skye and the sandy beach next to the Sands Caravan and Camping Site.
