The Santullo's Story...
Mama Santullo knew how hard it could be to get a quick bite that actually tastes good.
Mama Santullo also knew that her neighbors in Wicker Park/Bucktown like to create and stay up late.
And while Mama Santullo did not believe in cilantro and black beans, she did believe in taking care of her friends and neighbors by offering the tastiest oven-baked sandwiches in the neighborhood.
Her legacy lives on at Santullo's Eatery, located in the Flat Iron Building in the heart of Wicker Park/Bucktown. Santullo's is the neighborhood's original oven-baked sandwich shop and the only Restaurant in the area that serves authentic New York style pizza. Santullo's allows patrons to build their own sandwiches by choosing from a list of ingredients that, in addition to the standard meats, cheeses, and toppings, includes specialty items like goat cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, portobella mushrooms, spicy homemade mayonnaise, and capicolla. Santullo's also offers salads, entrees, beer and wine, and a rotating lineup of delicious homemade soups.
And Santullo's is open late, until 4am on Fridays and Saturdays, to provide the perfect complement to your growling post-party hunger. As Mama Santullo always used to say, "A folded slice at the end of the night will get you started in the morning feeling alright."
