Seafield Cottage is situated in a small Fishing village called St Abbs, located on the southeast coast of Scotland in the Scottish Border region.

The village was originally known as Coldingham Shore, the name was changed in the 1890's to St. Abbs. The new name was derived from St Abbs Head, a rocky promontory located to the north of the village, itself named after St. Aebbe.

St. Abbs is a popular location for divers. The sea around the village is unusually clear, in contrast to the rest of the Eastern coast. St Abbs is also perfect for walkers who can walk up the cliffs, and family's who can play on Coldingham Sands.

Seafield Cottage sleeps up to 7 people in two upstairs bedrooms and a single bedroom accessed through the dining room on the ground floor. The bathroom has a bath, wash hand basin and toilet.

The kitchen, which can be accessed directly from the roadside, is fully equipped with an electric cooker with ceramic hobs, microwave, large fridge and an automatic washing machine. There is also a small breakfasting table. A large freezer and tumble drier are located in the sitooterie.

The sitting room has an open fire and looks into the south facing garden. Thre is a large colour television and DVD player. Power, logs, linen and towels are included in the rent.

The Cottage has a large, well maintained and enclosed south facing garden. There is a vegetable plot, flower beds and large lawn. There is a variety of garden furniture strategically placed so that you can enjoy each part of the day. The sitooterie, as the name suggests, allows you to sit ?outdoors? on cooler days. The large freezer and tumble drier are situated in the sitooterie.

The beach hut on the Coldingham Sands is available as part of the let. The family have owned the beach hut for over 50 years. However, it was erected over a hundred years ago by a local joiner. It is in its original form and furnished in a traditional way, ready to enjoy your picnic. Chairs, buckets and spades are there for your use. Linen and towels are also available.
