Section 8 Snowsport Institute has a 12 week "Snowsport Leadership Training" program which is perfect for your gap year or career break. While many ski instructor courses or snowboard instructor courses teach you how to look pretty on a groomed slope, the "SLT" is an intensive all mountain training program designed to maximize your potential as a skier or rider as well as develop your leadership skills. We teach you the fastest line down a race course, how to tear up the terrain park, how to charge the off-piste steeps, how to safely explore the backcountry and everything in between. Experience the freedom of being able to tackle the whole mountain in any conditions and get a head start to a career as a ski or snowboard instructor as well as many other aspects of the industry such as guiding, coaching and outdoor leadership.
Our 4 week "Basic Training" ski and snowboard camp is an introduction to the world of snowsport instruction and mountain safety. This program offers top quality ski training or snowboard training and some entry level qualifications. The ideal course to get your foot in the door, then gain experience working as an instructor for the rest of the season.
