Shel-Al Campground located in North Hampton, New Hampshire in the United States consists of 192 sites, 82 with full hookups for RV's and travel trailers (30 or 50 amp), 31 sites with water and electricity, 28 sites with 20 amp electric service, and 28 basic tent sites (no water or electricity).

Although Shel-Al Campground is not in a wooded setting, our sites are grassy, most with shade in North Hampton. Two clean bathhouses (with metered showers), a large well equipped game room, a delightful playground area, and our camp store furnishing essentials round out our primary facilities.

A fire ring and picnic table are provided on all tent sites, but fire rings are only available by request on full hookup sites. Feel free to check with our office for other options.

Our Playground Area
Children (and parents) love our extensive playground and large open area for ball games, volleyball, frisbee throwing, and kite flying. Adults can enjoy horseshoes, bocee ball, our basketball hoop, or shuffleboard.

Our Game Room
For those less than perfect weather moments, (although it rarely rains on Shel-Al) we have a spacious game room equipped with a coin-operated pool table, electronic games, ping-pong, foosball, and a reading and jigsaw puzzle area. The comfortable farmer's porch allows you to relax and enjoy the summer breezes. For the computer enthusiast, the porch is also a great place to access our Wi-Fi service.

Location is everything, and here at Shel-Al, do we have the location in New Hampshire. Conveniently and centrally located less than four miles from Rye or North Hampton beaches, and about six miles to action-packed Hampton Beach, our campground provides the perfect spot for exploring the Seacoast. The famous Kittery outlet malls, antique stores, and quaint specialty shops are a short drive away.

Portsmouth, with its many historic sites, whale watch tours, Isles of Shoals cruises, fine dining, and first class shopping is only eight miles away. The picturesque waterfront town of Newburyport, just down the coast, also provides hours of enjoyment.

For the sports enthusiast, four public golf courses, and a driving range are all within four miles of us. Also nearby are several public tennis courts, a well-equipped skateboard park, a state-of-the-art indoor soccer arena, several fitness centers, and numerous biking and walking paths along the ocean.

Within 4 miles we have: Water Country (rated one of the "top 10" water parks in the USA), North Hampton State Beach, Rye Beach, North Beach (a surfer's delight), 2 premiere miniature golf courses, Hampton Airfield, Fuller Gardens, concerts at the North Hampton Bandstand, a public library, and quality restaurants and shops.

Within 6 miles we have: Hampton Beach, Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom, whale watching and dinner cruises, deep-sea fishing, Tuck Museum, and the Hampton Cinemas.

Within 8 miles New Hampshire tourist attractions inlcude: Portsmouth Seaport, Portsmouth Maritime Museum and the USS Albacore, Market Square, Strawbery Banke Museum, Children's Musuem, Seacoast Repertory Theatre, Seacoast Science Center at Odiorne Park, Science and Nature Center at Seabrook Station and the Seabrook Greyhound Park.
