Welcome to Sherrington Grange in Picton, Marlborough, New Zealand. Sherrington Grange is a large elegant Farmhouse, set in 400 acres of pasture, native forest and deserted coastline. The house is a stone?s throw from the beach and private wharf and offers beautiful views. Guest quarters include comfortable bedrooms, decorated in European country-house style, cosy sitting areas and access to large sea-facing deck.
Dine at the long table, under wrought iron chandeliers, surrounded by 18th century furniture, musical instruments (including baby grand piano) and original art works ? the product of 4 generations of collectors. Our menu is based around fresh game, seafood and organic vegetables, complemented by superb local wines.
The Duncan Room is an enormous room that combines a super king-size bed (extra bed available on request), its own access to the deck, a comfortable sofa and restful views over the lawn to the wharf. Furnished with original New Zealand art and decorated in serene sage green and cream, this room encourages complete relaxation.
Sherrington Grange is not a hotel but a working Farmhouse and home. Guests become part of our extended family and may enjoy complete privacy or a range of individually tailored activities. Walk through gorgeous scenery, go fishing, gather your own oysters, take a cheese-making class in the farm kitchen or just curl up with a book from our library. The choice is yours.
