Ships of the Sea Maritime Museum in Savannah, Georgia, consists of nine galleries filled with ship models, maritime paintings and interesting artifacts. Most of the ship models were commissioned by the Maritime Museum to give visitors an understanding of the maritime history of Savannah. Ships of the Sea Maritime Museum is home to models that include colonial vessels, ocean-going steamers, modern navy ships and ironclads and these models have been meticulously researched and detailed.
