Welcome to the Sidmouth Golf Club, Sidmouth, United Kingdom. The Golf Club is situated in the natural beauty of the Sid Valley. The Sidmouth Golf Club offers the perfect challenge for the Golfing novice as well as providing a test for the most accomplished Golfer.
The Sidmouth Golf Club was formed in 1889, and is the second oldest club in Devon. Originally consisting of six holes, it was enlarged to eighteen under the supervision of ex-Open Champion J.H.Taylor in 1905.
The Clubhouse affords magnificent views over Lyme Bay and the Devon and Dorset coastline which has been afforded World Heritage status, as well as the eighteenth green. This makes the Clubhouse bar the ideal place to relax after a round of Golf. Built originally in 1905, the Clubhouse was enlarged during the 1920’s and again in 1989, and the changing facilities were refurbished in 1994.The Clubhouse will be further enhanced in the near future with a balcony overlooking the eighteenth green due for completion in the summer of 2005, followed by a further balcony taking in the stunning views of Lyme Bay in the near future.
Sidmouth Golf Club has long been regarded as one of the friendliest Golf clubs in Devon, and you are assured of a warm welcome. Our Caterers produce home cooked food at reasonable prices, and can cater for parties both small and large. The Clubhouse is available for lunchtime meetings and evening parties such as wedding receptions, and details are available from the Club Manager.
