Welcome to Self Catering Snell House, Bar Harbor, United States. Snell House offers five comfortable apartments and the house is named in honor of Nobel laureate Dr. George D. Snell (1903 - 1996) of the Jackson Laboratory who, with his family, made this his home. Located on quiet tree-lined Atlantic Avenue, Snell House is one-half block from the historic Bar Harbor Shore Path and within easy walking distance of downtown shops and amenities. In Summer, enjoy lush flowering shrubs, expansive lawns, and maybe a fresh tomato from the garden. Acadia National Park is a mere five-minute drive for year-round enjoyment.

Self Catering Apartments range in size from a single-bedroom efficiency, a single-bedroom with living area and large upstairs loft, to large two-bedroom units, all with full kitchen. A large, handicapped-friendly, single-bedroom apartment with kitchen and sit-down shower is also available. Fall, Winter and Spring rentals also are available on a weekly or monthly basis at off-season rates.

Children are welcome. We have a no smoking policy except on the front porch.
