Spooney Green Guest House is a converted 18thC farmhouse and barn situated at the foot of Latrigg and, although off the beaten track within easy walking distance of the centre of Keswick. Spooney Green Guest House is set in 1.5 acres of beautiful garden, which is a haven for wildlife. Red squirrels regularly visit a feeding station outside the dining room window along with many varieties of garden birds. The Cumbria Way footpath and the main walking track up Skiddaw go past the door.
A stay at Spooney Green Guest House is bound to recharge your batteries, a tranquil location, spectacular views, and wholesome food. We serve eggs from our own chickens, make all our own bread and preserves, and you might even get honey straight from our hives. We pride ourselves on a friendly country house atmosphere. We have two comfortable double rooms, one of them can either be double or twin, both are en-suite and have TV, hairdryer, and tea and coffee making facilities. The bedrooms face south and have fantastic views over the western Lake District fells.
There is plenty of car parking at Spooney Green Guest House and we have secure storage for mountain bikes. Should you have a wet day on the fells, we will make sure that all your equipment is dry for the next morning. Maps and guide books are always available for guests to borrow. We can also help with routes or arrange guided walks if required.
