We are a happy and thriving community providing a secure, family oriented education to children from age 3 to 18. St Clares School, Porthcawl, United Kingdom, pride themselves not only on excellent academic results but also in the way that they strive to help all their students to achieve their full potential whilst under their care.

Pupils in Years 7 & 8 at St Clares School, are taught in small mixed ability classes. Pupils in Year 9 are set in Mathematics and English. At the end of Year 9 GCSE choices are made, with the benefit of advice from a Careers Officer and staff. Ten or eleven subjects may be chosen (from 16 on offer - 2006/7) at GCSE level of which six are compulsory.

Parents of St Clares School, Porthcawl, pupils play a vital role in encouraging their children in their work. Assessments, coursework and examinations are an important part of School life and a disciplined attitude towards School work is encouraged. Reports are sent to parents at least twice a year and communication between staff and parents is strengthened with regular Parent/Teacher meetings. Additionally, individual appointments with parents and pupils are available whenever necessary.

St Clares Prep School aims to encourage the development of the whole child through a balance of academic, cultural, sporting and social activities, with Christian morals and values emphasised throughout. Education is a continuing process and the Prep School is committed to providing all pupils with a solid academic foundation which will ensure a smooth transition to the Senior School.
