A warm welcome to St Helens Guest House, Banff Scotland, Scotland. St Helens Guest House is situated within walking distance of the main facilities in Banff Scotland but has the advantage of a secluded site with private walled gardens.
St Helens Guest House is a Victorian Merchant's house. It was completed in the last quarter of the 19th century and you will notice that many of the original features can still be seen.
In our dining room you will see much of the original woodwork with the pinecone finials - this wood came from America and the craftsmen who built it didn't have the use of a Black & Decker!
Breakfast is whatever time you would like to have it. We are also happy to provide you with packed lunches for any 'expeditions.' Let us know if you have any particular dietary requirements and we will be happy to cater for them.
We provide daily papers and magazines and are happy to order any particular requests. Feel free to borrow any of the books - we try to cater for all tastes! A number of local writers have stayed at St. Helens and copies of some of their work are available for you to read.
At St. Helens you will find the charms of the past combined with the comforts of today's living. St. Helens is privately owned and operated by a small number of staff dedicated to providing old-fashioned personal service. It has all the ingredients to make a splendid holiday or an enjoyable business stay. We place particular emphasis on creating a relaxing and friendly atmosphere in our home.
We can provide you with a range of information - what to see, what's on, where to eat. You will find a brochure in your bedroom, which covers a wide variety of facilities and events. A hairdryer, iron, shoe-cleaning kit and pay phone are available.
