Thanks for visiting our website. Sweetwater Surf Shop was established in 1976 and is located in Wrightsville Beach, N.C. If you aren't familiar with the area we are located one block from the ocean in the middle of downtown W.B. Wrightsville Beach was recently named one of the top ten surf towns in the U.S. by Surfer Magazine. We at Sweetwater are very proud to be recognized globaly by the new crop of young surfing talent coming out of Wrightsville Beach.

Seven years ago the shop was bought by Chuck Bourgeois and family. Anyone who surfs has heard of Chuck's son Ben Bourgeois who is a world class pro surfer on the WCT. Ben has brought world wide attention to Wrightsville Beach with his powerful surfing ability and his respectful hometown attitude. Thanks to Ben opening the door many young surfers in town are taking advantage of oppurtunities that would have never been if Ben wasn't who he is.

As far as the shop, well, we have the same hometown attitude. We love what we do and we take pride in giving our customers the best selection, service, and prices in town. Go ahead and shop around because we know you will end up back at our shop. Shop manager Tony Butler and Chuck's twin daughters Shana and Danielle make sure that Sweetwater is stocked full of the best brands and current up to date styles.
