Sygun Fawr Country house a short walk away from the award winning village of Beddgelert in the heart of Snowdonia, Gwynedd, Wales. Our unique style is relaxed, friendly and informal, with none of the trappings of a stuffy hotel.
Built into the hillside, of solid stone, with many exposed walls, oak beams and inglenooks, all add to the traditional character, ambiance and atmosphere at Sygun Fawr Country house, ensuring your stay is both enjoyable and restful. Set in the oldest part of the building and dating from 1644, is the dining room with its antique furniture, low beams and inglenooks. The convivial atmosphere and ambience provides a relaxed and informal place to enjoy excellent food and wine with good conversation. You can also dine in our new contemporary conservatory which has splendid views of the garden and surrounding mountains.
Our eleven bedrooms have been tastefully decorated with quality furnishings and fittings and with comfort and style in mind. They are all individual with some of the older rooms having interesting original features like exposed stone walls, sloping ceilings and some higglety pigglety floors and the best views Snowdonia has to offer.
All the rooms are en-suite with bath or shower and have tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryers and radio alarm clocks. All rooms have views of the surrounding gardens, hillside and mountains. Our three deluxe rooms (our largest rooms), are highly recommended and they have extra comforts, such as bath robes and quality toiletries, each room has 2 windows from which you can appreciate the ultimate views of the Snowdon range, the beautiful Gwynant valley and our garden with mountains beyond.
