At Tallyrand Restaurant we begin our day roasting 200 pounds of fresh turkey daily.
Our breakfasts have won "Best of Burbank" for years with our famous buttermilk pancakes, omelette?s, cinnamon roll French toast and our homemade muffins. Our menu includes a variety of fabulous sandwiches, large salads, seafood, top quality Angus Steaks, delicious juicy burgers and fabulous daily specials such as fresh Atlantic salmon, BBQ pork ribs, pot roast au jus, and more.
Tallyrand Restaurant began in 1959 when Al and Delores Thomas, with $5,000 in hand, opened a small coffee shop on Olive Avenue in Burbank, California. The name Tallyrand was discovered by Al and Delores while searching for recipes in a cookbook from the St. Francis Hotel in San Francisco. They discovered a tasty soup named after the 19th Century French Statesman Charles Maurice de Talleyrand. Although the spelling has changed from its original namesake, Tallyrand Restaurant's dedication to quality food has remained constant.
Over the years, Tallyrand Restaurant developed a reputation for delicious food and good service. Each day starts by roasting fresh turkeys and baking fresh muffins. Coffee is ground to order and soups and salad dressings are prepared homemade in the kitchen. Buttermilk pancakes are made with real buttermilk and are fabulously light and tasty. The steaks and chops are cut daily and the chuck meat is ground fresh to make juicy burgers. We have made the commitment to serve the best food in town.
Incredibly, 50 years have come and gone but the tradition of Tallyrand Restaurant continues. Together, with our devoted staff, Delores, Mark and Karen wish to thank all of our loyal guests for dining at Tallyrand.
We look forward to serving you for many more years to come.
