The Lost Gardens of Heligan are 0.5 miles away, whilst the nearby coastal path winds amongst the the many nearby sandy coves, rockpools and headlands around Mevagissey in Englands country side. Further afield the now World famous Eden Project 11 miles away is a must. while the Tall Ships Harbour at Charlestown, 7 miles away and the National Trust Lanhydrock House and gardens makes a great day out. Even the beautiful Roseland Peninsula with its sub tropical gardens and endless sandy beaches is a mere 15 miles away. Visit the cathedral city of Truro with its georgian houses, or Falmouth across the bay from St. Mawes, with its natural harbour and coastal fortress of Pendennis Castle for a full day out.
