Welcome to Terrace Farm, Cockermouth, Scotland. Terrace Farm is set in a secluded location overlooking the tranquil village of Lorton. Within easy reach of the Glorious fells and West Cumbria lakes surrounding Loweswater, Crummock, Buttermere and the Lorton Valley. Terrace Farm is situated 4 miles from Cockermouth, 8 miles from Keswick on the B5292 over Whinlatter Pass. We are also on the Coast to Coast cycle route and have secure lock-up facilities available. The Farm is set within 500 acres with beef and sheep incorporating around 20 pedigree Limousine cattle. Depending on the time of year that you visit you may get to see new born lambs, young calves, sheep shearing or winter feed being harvested. Red squirrels, woodpeckers and other birds visit our garden. Fishing is also available to guests as we have a rod on the River Cocker. At the end of the day why not retire to one of the many eating places to sample local fair and enjoy a glass of our local Ale which possibly could be brewed by Jennings Bros. The public house in the village is within easy walking distance.
