Welcome to the Theatre of Locarno, Switzerland. Following the principle that a Theatre is successful when it is in harmony with the public who attends, the entertainment choices are made in the first place by putting the quality and variety of proposals forward. Another element is the name of the most famous players in the Italian scene, and have now appeared in all billboards. The Theatre of Locarno has 500 seats and is well attended with a constant and several media "sold out" signs. The reservation and ticket sales are carried out in collaboration with the Tourist office Lago Maggiore (tel. 091756 .61.60).
Of great importance is the collaboration with local schools to begin the youngest to play in the 'Association of Friends of the Theatre' for meetings and initiatives targeted. The Theatre of Locarno, Switzerland, which in a century of life has never been so active and attended as in recent years, was designed by Ferdinand Bernasconi and the painter Philip Franzoni, ispiratisi hall of La Fenice in Venice. It was inaugurated in 1902 and was certainly a contribution to the cultural development of the region, but with alternating phases. A happy moment in history happened, for example, in 1904 with the performance of "Pagliacci", staging and directed by its author, Ruggero Leoncavallo, who at that time lived in Brissago.
