Thurlestone GOLF Club in Kingsbridge, England, United Kingdom, is a great place to play both GOLF and tennis. The course is located in the beautiful South Hams of Devon and runs along the coast of Bigbury Bay. The course is a mix of links and cliff-top terrain with the latter providing fabulous views towards Bolt Tail in the East to beyond Plymouth to the West, with Burgh Island and the Avon estuary being the highlight for most people. As well as an 18-hole course of some quality Thurlestone GOLF Club also boasts 10 grass courts, 2 hard courts and 3 beaches.
All visitors are required to show a valid handicap certificate before playing at Thurlestone GOLF Club in Kingsbridge, England. If you are in doubt as to the validity of your card please discuss with our GOLF professional at the time of making your booking. The Club has a large main bar as well as a smaller "spike" bar come television room and meals are available from 10:00 to 19:00 hours daily in our separate dining-room. The menu can be adapted to suit almost every diet and our catering staff will happily consider any reasonable request to vary the menu.
Situated right on the coast, the course is a mix of links and cliff-top terrain. The course is well-draining and rarely suffers from frost, so it is rarely closed due to bad weather.
The course measures 6230 yards from the White Tees, whilst the ladies are faced with 5538 yards. Spectacular views may be enjoyed from every hole on the course, which provides a challenge to all levels of GOLFer, especially when the wind blows.
At Thurlestone GOLF Club we have a total of 12 tennis courts, 10 grass and 2 hard. Membership of the Tennis Section is included in Full Playing membership of the Club, or may be purchased as a stand-alone item. Regular Club afternoons are held throughout the year on Tuesdays 2:00pm - 4:00pm and Club nights during the summer on Wednesdays from 5:30pm onwards.
