Thwaite How is a pretty Lakeland cottage situated in the beautiful Lake District hamlet of Rosthwaite, in the heart of the Borrowdale Valley nr Keswick. Thwaite How is fronted by a picturesque walled garden with views across to the spectacular Lake District fells of Castle Crag, High Spy and Maiden Moor in the United Kingdom.
Thwaite How has a large lounge with open fire, fitted kitchen, separate dining room, three bedrooms – sleeping up to six people, and a bathroom. To the rear of the cottage is a garage and yard and to the front is a lawned area surrounded by flower beds and plants, with outdoor seating to enjoy the views.
Rosthwaite is a superb base for exploring the stunning Borrowdale Valley and surrounding Lake District. A short drive to the end of the valley and over the dramatic Honister Pass will bring you to beautiful Buttermere, where you can enjoy a gentle circular walk around the lake or explore the surrounding high fells. Many of the North Lake District’s most popular walks start and end in Rosthwaite and the famed fells of Scafell Pike, Glaramara and Great Gable are accessible from the valley.
Rosthwaite has much to offer a visitor to the area. There is a café, shop, a local pub and a hotel offering meals. The thriving market town of Keswick on Derwentwater is only a short distance away, with shops and restaurants to suit all tastes, an excellent theatre, cinema, leisure centre, museums and galleries.
