Welcome to Torwood Vineyard, Waiheke Island, Auckland, New Zealand. Torwood Vineyard covers 17 acres of organically farmed land on Waiheke Island, Auckland, the grapes are Merlot, Cabernat Franc, and a new planting of Petit Verdot. They are hand picked, the wine is made in the traditional fashion and stored in French oak for 18 months. Harvests are small, but full of rich flavour and deep colour.
Olive trees are planted all over the land, these are used mainly for oil but there are some Kalamata's for eating. A young Feijoa plantation of some 400 trees has been planted to make a fruit wine.
